This is by the far the best period tracker app Ive used to date (after trying at least four or five over the past two years). The main reason? Because it isnt just a period tracker app. Yes, it does tell me - very accurately- when I need to stock up on Tampax and if I were to want to get pregnant, it would let me know the best day to give that a go. But it does so, so much more.
Here is a nice little list of things I like enough about this app to inspire a review. Ill start with an obvious one...
• The interface. In what I can only assume is laziness, many companies throw a pink or purple generic calendar and ui onto a quality app and then wonder why people dont use it. The people behind Life understood this problem and responded with kittens. Seriously. Thats an actual theme choice which is more aww and not hello kitty creepy but dont run just yet, thats only one of many nom-kitten choices. I still use the classy-looking modern theme that was the default. It may actually be some modded beachy-sunset thing but I confess: despite using this app daily, I dont know because Im too busy focusing on the big numbers counting down to the next time Im wearing flowy PMS dresses to hide water-weight. But it looks good, I promise.
And as someone who was a graphic designer and ui/ux developer, I can honestly say that I havent found much that I would change. This thing is actually clean, modern and generally pleasant to look at when using which blends in nicely with ios8. Bravo.
• Customization. Like serious customization. Not that nonsense where youre limited to changing some colors and entering the days when youre feeling bit puffy while eating chocolate crisps in bed with your phone on silent.
You can do the fun stuff like change the way it looks, but more importantly - at least for me- I can add or remove an item to a list of daily symptoms with little to no effort. Which brings me to my next point...
• Symptom tracker (and weight tracker and mood tracker and yeah, whatever youre thinking is probably there as well, or will be if you mention it to the developers).
Health issues? Anyone? Ok, maybe youre 19 and so healthy that youve only had a cold once when you were like 7. Use this so you dont sit there slack-jawed the next time your doctor asks when your last period was. Or maybe youre a bit like me where you were that healthy before you woke up one day in your mid-20s with Celiac and thyroid issues. Either way, the symptom tracker is probably one of my favorite things about this app. It takes approximately 15 seconds out of my day to track important information that is relevant for ob/gyn and other doctor visits. Its so nice to be asked a question (such as when did I decide bagels were ok and how much weight did I lose as a result of being sick) and be able to look up the accurate answer immediately.

In short, if youve read this far and youre still on the fence, you really need to just buy this and get back to work already. They dont pay you to play on your phone.
